AGATA BECKER

Lawyer & art market professional in London
Cooperation Partner of THEMIS

Originally from Poland, I am a UK qualified and Solicitors Regulation Authority authorised solicitor with solid corporate finance experience. Around 2016, I took plunge to become an art lawyer. After leaving my City job, I committed to pursuing my dream of working closely with Fine Arts.  I am happy to admit I haven’t regretted that decision for a minute.

Why did I become an art lawyer?

In 2018 I completed my second Master’s degree in Art, Business and Law at Queen Mary University of London. I worked at the Art Law department of the London office of Constantine Cannon LLP and with Andy Ritter, an art lawyer in Zurich, Switzerland. Additionally, I regularly part-time lecture Master’s degree students on different legal aspects of art and luxury.  I also partner with a top gallery in New York on strategic art investments.

Partnering with various art professionals Agart ensures the highest levels of service and expertise for its clients.  The future mission of Agart is to build professional relationships with underrepresented and emerging artists and promote their work, ensuring always they benefit from adequate legal framework for their business arrangements.
